Well.. another successful weekend crop for Fiskars ! We had so much fun that I was truly exhausted by the end of the day.
Everyone was nice and early and ready to go well before the kick off time of 10am.. I was still chasing kids through the shower when people started arriving..lol. But that was okay as everyone was happy to set themselves up in the spots for the day. After grabbing a cuppa we got straight into it. I certainly challenged the girls this month ! We started with the OTP item. Following the theme of recycle, re purpose and reuse this month on the Fiskars Blog we created a 6x6 mini album from Manilla Folders. I can still hear the ladies cursing at me for the noise we created with our Fiskars eyelet setters to bind the album !
OTP Item - Manilla Folder Album
Using the Manilla folder to create tabs and pages was fun. We also played around with water colour pencils, acetate and punches to create this unique little album. Plus I showed the girls to think outside the box with office supplies they could reuse from around the house.
After a break we headed into the cards for the rest of the day to wind down. We created some very quick and simple cards after having challenged them so much at the start of the day.
Cards -
I enjoyed designing these as I got to play with some water colour paper, kindy glitz and stamps that I hadn't used in a while. Plus we also used coloured card bases for the first time which was nice. Certainly creates a different look to the cards.
So all in all the day was a huge success. Everyone had a ball, made some create items and kept some good company. We welcomed a new face to this crop and also had some of our regulars return after having not attended for a while. Everyone was keen to create and learn. They all loved playing around with Fiskars tools and products and all are looking forward to the next crop in October.
I have a spare crop kit from the day to give away to 1 lucky reader... leave a comment here and I will draw a winner on Wednesday. You too could be creating the cards and mini album we made in your own home.
Cheers and Happy Scrapping, M x
