BH & G Fiskars Submissions

Just a quick one. Recently the Fiskars Ambassadors were asked to submit some OTP creations to Better Homes and Gardens for their Upcoming events. We had a certain product line to create from.

This is what I submitted to Better Homes and Gardens.

Altered CD Mini Album

Mini Accordion File

We were asked to the the Heidi Grace Paper Kits in the "Orchard" Range. I had a play with the kits itself and some of the Fiskars Clear Stamps also from the "Romance" range.

My submissions weren't chosen for the classes at the shows however. I wasn't fussed that they weren't as it was just fun to have a go and play around with some more cool products by Fiskars.

Till next time.

Wow what an amazing day we had !

Finally able to get on line and catch everyone up with the amazing day that we had...

Last weekend here in Adelaide we had our Fiskars "Christmas in July" Crop...

The crop day started off being a cold blustery day.. I was up early to get the urnie filled, cupcakes iced with yummy chocolate icing and the heaters cranked up to the max to make sure we stayed nice and toasty....the crop was due to start at 10am and by 9.50am we were all sitting down ready to start. With such eager people the day was a real pleasure.

The morning began with an Off The Page item to get their taste buds flowing. We altered a 500gram Nescafe coffee tin using the "Love Blooms" and "Baby Boy" paper ranges from Heidi Grace.

We had so much fun playing with the Fiskars Threading Water Punch... I tell you one punch just wasn't enough for these ladies...lol....And lets not get started on the Heidi Grace Tag's and Word's clear acrylic stamps...

For morning tea we had some amazing slices and cookies to munch on.. thanks again to my darling Mum for the amazing help providing the slices and to my darling daughter Jhane for all her made biscuit rolling.. the ladies had Mars Bar slice, Moomba slice, Chocolate Almond slice, Ginger Slice, Peanut Butter Cookies, Coconut Macaroons, Chocolate Shortbread, Anzac Biscuits and Cornflake Cookies to curb the appetite we worked up scrapbooking.

After morning tea we were able to complete the tins and everyone was so happy with the end results. So many ladies we so much more comfortable hand cutting letters and playing around with the stamps. The hot glue gun certainly got a good workout that is for sure.

We then had another chance to have a gas bag about Fiskars and their amazing products over lunch. Once again my oven had worked overtime to provide us with some warm goodies on such a cold day. Everyone plates overflowed with Pizza Slices, Mini Spring Rolls, Chicken Bites, Spinach Fetta Parcels, Pasties, Pies, Sausage Rolls, Chicken Dim Sims with Sweet and Sour Sauce, Mixed Mini Quiches and Lemon Chicken Bites. Though were all able to still fit in a few more pieces of the yummy slices and hot chocolate.

All refueled everyone was ready and raring to get onto our next projects... We started to get ready for Christmas... Non traditional Christmas cards were the order of the day and with the help of some more amazing Fiskars products it was made possible.

We played with some amazing stamps from Cloud 9 and Heidi Grace that hopefully will be available for Christmas.. we were just very lucky to have them here to play with. The ladies also discovered the wonders of heat embossing, stamping, punching, played with paint and hand stitching. I don't think that there was many techniques we didn't play around.. we all had so much fun....

So much so that I didn't get a chance to have lunch myself or even take one picture during the big day that ended at 5.30pm with everyone leaving with their little goodies boxes. I know that some of my lovely ladies have taken some photos so will have to grab a copy to show you everyone in action.

Here is a few more pictures taken just before everyone arrived... I had so much fun. Many asked when the next one was and could they book in now...lol... Congratulations again to Connie on winning the lucky door prize too... I have a few more goodie bags to draw in the next week as promised.. keep your eyes posted for the lucky winners as we ran out of time...

Many thanks to those who helped me put this amazing day together... especially to my darling husband for looking after our youngest two kids and keeping the urnie and biscuits trays topped up..these crops seem to get bigger and better than the last one..I am still in recovery mode here as I have caught the flu and have visitors over from Cairns..

Better go make a cuppa and spend some time with the family... Will catch up again soon...

Cheers and happy scrapping, Michelle :)

Counting the day down here in Adelaide

Boy has it been a very busy time here in Adelaide....

I have been madly getting everything organized for the second biggest Fiskars Crop here this weekend.

As Lyn had mentioned in an earlier post we have our South Australian "Xmas is July" Fiskars Crop on the 12th of July...

For me things have been extremely busy in preparation for t his as we have interstate visitors arriving the day before the big event..

So you can guess that I have been living in a mad house of house cleaning... setting up rooms for visitors.. and scrapbooking supplies for the big event from one end of my scrap studio to the other.

Things have all been finalized for the day and I have set up for the big event in our garage this time due to larger group. We have 25 people coming this time..

I had to stop the bookings a bit earlier than I had planned as bookings came in thick and fast. Everyone was sooo eager to come and play with the amazing Fiskars tools have planned.

It is a complete secret to all those that have booked as to what they will be making for the day, so I thought that tonight I would give you a few sneak peeks to the cards we will be making on the day.

So love making cards with some amazing Fiskars products. Also love making cards for Xmas that are not from traditional Xmas paper.

So I will leave you with this sneak peek of th cards and will catch up again tomorrow with some more sneak peeks of our special event that is happening in only a few days.

Cheers and Happy Scrapping, Michelle
