Getting creative with my Inspiration pack.

Was sent a fun filled pack by Leanne from Mad about Scrapping to play around with and boy did I play around with it!

Lots of goodies in the pack to inspire anyone.

Here's the layouts I came up with
Used bubble wrap, sand paper, and a bottle lit to create this fun bright layout.

And this would be my most favourite layout as I got to get VERY dirty!

I adhered the plastic mesh to recyled card using texture paste, paint washed it, textured pasted it some more and them hit the whole thing with two coast of glimmer mist which I let run. Then I ripped up some paper and added to the base.

Have you ever thought about what you could add to your layout or card that you have recyled from around the home ???

Why nt check out the rest of the Inspirational layouts at Mad About Scrapping and get creative.

Blooming Buttons Galore

Hello everyone.

Welcome to another day featuring, Helmar's preferred partner, Buttons Galore & More!

This month I was sent an inspiration challenge pack to play around with by Mad About Scrapping.

This pack contained may different things to alter a layout or card, with things such as bubble wrap, sand paper, mesh, plastic, cardboard box and hessian.

As soon as I got started I just knew that my layout would be made extra special with a little bit of help from some buttons to add a bit of pop to my blossoms.

With a little bit of help from some Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots my flowers too on a whole new dimension.

I also love the effect I was able to create for my layout base by recycling a piece of card (received from my husband certificate to stabilize the envelope it in the post) rough spread it with paint to start with.

Stamped it with some Pumpkin Glimmer mist using a pile of small bubble wrap and highlight some of the darker "bubbles" with kindy glitz.

To finish off the background and stabilize it to work on I hit the whole base with Helmar Krystal Kote Matt. I then had a great background to work on.

Why not get creative with a little help from Helmar and our preferred partner, Buttons Galore & More!

Belated Fiskars February Crop Fun

Found these layouts from our February Fiskars crop here in Adelaide that I haven't had a chance to share.

Time got away from me in February with completing my studies and general life.

Finally back on top and find heaps of time to scrap now due to study finishing.

We had a great time that day catching up for the new year. The girls were able to check out the new Fiskars Interchangeable Punches as they had arrived just in time for the crop.

I was able to show the girls different ways of using Fiskars punches to make some fun flowers and we did some glue embossing with some Helmar adhesive (love doing that).

So without further ado.. here's the long lost layouts.

A Special Birthday Wish

Today is a very special day for my family.

Today is my Father's 70th birthday.

We are away on holidays at the moment but have been lucky enough to have my parents come and stay with us for a few days. Luckily enough I have been able to spend some quality time with my parents and get to spend the day with my Dad for his birthday.

So.. I got busy creating before I went away with a little help from Helmar Krystal Kote and Fiskars Interchangeable Punch to create a special card before we went away (too hard to pack lots of scrapping stuff this time round).

By using my Fiskars Dream Weaving Interchangeable punch cartridge, I was able to jazz the card up quickly with a paper and ribbon bow. Such a cheap way to make a card look super special and to give it a little dimension too.

I played around with a digital image again too and my water colour pens. I loved this image because it reminds me of Wind in the Willows. This was one of our favourite books to read when we were little. My Dad loved reading this to us.

So here's wishing my Dad a very Happy 70th Birthday. You are my supportive rock, my inspiration and someone I truly love.

Lots of Punching Fun

Hello all.

A few weeks ago I challenged the girls here at our Adelaide Fiskars Crop with lots of fun with punching.

At this crop we had fun creating an off the page item, a topiary tree.

I wanted to show the girls different ways to create flowers using many different Fiskars punches.

Here's what we created...

Can you see all the Fiskars punches that I have used to create the different flowers ?? I even managed to create one using one of the new Fiskars interchangeable border punches (the spiky looking flower).

And who knew there was so many different types of flowers that you can create using the Fiskars Scalloped Circle Squeeze punch !
As you can see from this photo I got the girls punching to the hearts content... hehehe or not.. We played around with one of the new Fiskars interchangeable punches to jazz up the bottom of the pot.

The finished result that the girls created was amazing. I loved seeing them play around with the punches.

We all agreed too that the new Fiskars Interchangeable punches are so nice. Both designs and storage of them is great. I cannot wait to play with the punches so more.

Happy crafting !

For My Princess

Today is a very special day for us.

Today my little princess, Miss Kiah, turns 5.

I often wonder where five years have gone, as it has flown past that is for sure.

I cannot believe that next term Miss Kiah starts school as it seems like only yesterday I was rocking her in my arms.

We have faced a few little adventures with her that made life a little bit of a challenge but we wouldn't have had it any other way. We are truly blessed to have her in out lives.

She has come so far in the past year and bit since she got her glasses and has completely changed from the demanding high maintenance child to a truly confident little girl. She has truly blossomed and changed so much.

She will always be the princess of our family (personality based through and through!).

So for her birthday this year she wanted a card with a princess on it. So I got busy with my water colour pens, lots of bling and my Fiskars Interchangeable Border punch.

Here's a card fit for a princess that's for sure !

Happy Birthday Princess.. we love you lots and lots poppet!

Getting some dimension !

Hello everyone,

Michelle here from overcast Adelaide, South Australia.

We have gone away for the Easter break and having a great time with family at a holiday house at the beach. Even though the weather is a little iffy we are finding lots of fun things to do.

So before I headed of I got creative with a little bit of Helmar goodness.

So with a little help from my favourite Helmar product, Helmar Liquid Scrap dots, I was quickly able to create a layout full of dimension very quickly.

I love being able to adhere all my banner flag down with Helmar Liquid Scrap dots. Because it takes a little longer to dry it means that your able to fiddle around with it a little bit more to get the dimension just right.

Mostly I love using my Helmar Liquid Scrap dots when adhering flowers. Because the flowers make are sometime uneven on the base it can make it difficult to adhere them flat. By using Helmar Liquid Scrap dots the uneven base is evened out nicely and adhered with a breeze.

The other bonus is that Helmar Liquid Scrap dots don't buckle the fiddly paper flowers, like some other adhesives.

Off to have some more Easter fun. Have a great Easter break everyone...

And YES... I did pack some Helmar adhesive goodies for my holiday!

Off to get creative.

Easter Card Making

Okay...

So normally I do not make Easter cards.

I have made them in the past but usually for design team obligations.

This year would be the first year I actually made a card for Easter of my own free choice.

My Mum had mentioned she was going to go and buy a card for the place that my Dad goes to weekly respite to. I suggest to her that I would make her a card to give to them.

So with a bit of help from my new favourite Fiskars interchangeable punch I was able to get creative very quickly.

Here's my Easter card for this year.

Gotta love the new Fiskars interchangeable punches.

Got creative with the kids this year with a little help from some of the new Fiskars interchangeable border punches.

With some bright paper, kindy glitz and brightly coloured plastic eggs we were all set for Easter in no time.
