More Secrets Revealed Here In South Australia....

So... here we are again.... I know that some of you are eager to find out a bit more about the South Australian Fiskars Eggstravaganza Crop that is happening here in 4 DAYS time.... wooo hooo..... it is coming closer..... I just can't wait..... so many suprises and so much fun too....
Okay... yes... once again I am bursting with excitement and I just can't hold this in any longer.... have been wanting to tell you all ALL day....

So many secrets and so little time.....

Okay... I am just so excited here in South Australia at the moment that I think I might burst.....

I have been really busy here the last week or so, finalising things for the FIRST EVER FISKARS EGGSTRAVAGANZA CROP here in ADELAIDE...

I am sooooooo excited about this that I can barely hold back all the exciting things that are happening here in 5 DAYS.....

YES.....it is so hard to believe that after all the mad preparations between myself and the ever helpful Lead Ambassador, Lyn Dwyer... ****sending her many thanks**** that we are almost there. I think that the most exciting thing for me, is being able to host the FIRST EVER FISKARS EGGSTRAVAGANZA CROP in Adelaide..

I am loving being able to share the Fiskars products with others and being able to show people exactly how they work.....

Okay..... I know I am probably keeping you all waiting.. wondering what exciting things that we will be up to at our crop....

Over the next few days leading up to the crop I will be giving out sneak peeks at the amazing things we will be getting up to. I will also be giving away to two lucky readers one of the kits from the day...but you will have to check back throughout the rest of the week to find out how to win on of the kits....

So... for today's secret that I just can't hold in any longer...... the day will of course be filled with chocolate...being so close to Easter.... mmmmmm Chocolate Cake with my favourite Rich Chocolate Fudge Sauce.... what a way to end the day !....that's what I think anyway....

I am well know for my Chocolate Fudge Sauce... so I just had to share it with my fellow Fiskars friends....

Here is the recipe:

Rich Chocolate Fudge Sauce
375 grams quality chocolate
300 mls condensed milk
250 grams butter....yes the real stuff is needed...
Melt the butter and chocolate together on low heat. Once melted mix in the condensed milk. Stir until well combined and thick. Allow to cool and serve. Can be refridgerated once cool. Keeps for 1 month in the fridge.

I must say though that this sauce NEVER makes it to the fridge at our house. We eat it with warm chocolate cake and ice cream while the sauce it warm....and it ALL gets eaten...Yes... we are very naughty here I know....

SCKC and Children's Day- An extreme challenge to myself

Okay.. Michelle here from Adelaide, South Australia.... I am a Fiskars Ambassador and SAHM to three children aged between 10 years to 10mths old...In my spare time I teach scrapbooking and love to share my work with others.... So why you ask am I telling you all this..... Well.. for me time with my children is very precious and I try to make every moment with them count...personal experience has shown me that we need to do this, as we never know what will happen next. I always tell my children that I love them daily. Scrapbooking for me has been a way of healing old wounds and preserving all the little things in life that are just as precious as big milestones. So.... Children's Day is a very important day for me... I am lucky to have 3 gorgeous children to scrapbook ... and YES I can be bias... lol...lol... I treasure the time that we spend together and love scrapbooking not for myself but for them... my eldest daughter inspired me firstly to start scrapbooking when she starting asking about stories from when she was younger... for me scrapbooking was the perfect way to preserve those memories for us both.. When the call came out to the Fiskars Ambassadors and Demonstrators to help with SCKC layout's I put my hand up with no hesitation.. despite the fact that my own workload was already pushed with demonstrations here in Adelaide and preparations going on for the first ever Fiskars Easter Crop here in Adelaide....I just knew that I had to help.. I mean what is scrapbooking about.. but being able to share your work with others and helping others to preserve their special moments....I had so much fun doing these layouts. They were so quick and easy to do that I set myself a challenge to get 50 made..... the problem was that when I went through my stash of Heidi Grace and Cloud 9 papers that it was so hard to stop pulling out papers to choose from...so in the end... I have here in my slide shows below ended up with 75 completed layouts for you to see.... and YES... it did kinda get a bit carried away here as I still have another pile sitting on my painting desk in my studio that need to be finished still... last count was a bit over 60... and I have had to put the stops on myself to not do anymore.....

Yes... maybe I did kinda get carried away .. but I must say that I felt that I wanted to help the cause so much that I just couldn't stop....
Hope that you all enjoy Children's Day and perhaps even think to help out with making some of the SCKC layouts to help out cause that desperately needs help... think of the looks on the children's faces when they look through their finished memory books.....I mean... why else would you want to scrapbook !!!!

Just a quick post before I run off to collect Nate from his first day at preschool.... My baby boy is growing up !!!.... sob .. sob...

And So Starts a New Year

Okay.. I am back... It Has been a while I know... what with the nightmare of Christmas... followed closely by New Year and finished off with our holiday....time has been very hectic here...

So.. to start with I will fill you all in on the happenings here in our crazy lives....

On the family front:

Nate is starting preschool this year... our little boy isn't a little boy any longer. He really enjoyed his visits last year and some of his close friends are going to the same preschool.. this makes it easier, though with his personality he would make friends with anyone... he is such a live wire..

Jhane is going into Year 5 this year... still hard to believe that she is 10 years old already... she is a very interesting person... It was a learning year for us all last year... what with starting at a new school, making new friends and testing new boundaries... She has also discussed what is like to be a girl... she can still be a tomboy at times.. though when it is time to go to the shops, it takes us forever to get out the door....lol...lol...Jhane as also become addicted to scrapbooking... yeah another one in the family.... Look out... my studio will soon be taken over by another scrapper.... NOT !!!!

Kiah is certainly a challenge all on her own.... not in a bad way... Everything that she does certainly brings a smile to our face... She has been nicknamed "Bulldozer".. that's 'cause that is what she looks like when she is going over the top of everything that stands in her way... She has acquired a taste for the rocks in my pot plants, opens the screen door to get out into the back yard, pulls the tissues out of the tissue box in the lounge and basically leaves a trail of destruction behind her... She crawls around so fast that you have to run to get away from her.. and stands up on tip toes to get stuff off my beside table and the fridge door....

Troy is doing good... still suffers from a sore knee at times though his knee reconstruction seems to be a complete success... I think though that I will be glad when he doesn't get up at 5.30am every morning to go to the gym to strengthen it...He still as usual a workaholic... never one to sit idle, he always is up to something around the place...

I am well... finally back on top of things here....I am currently sitting here sunburnt and feeling extremely warm...lol...lol.. but my front garden looks better for it.... Managed to get my front yard all trimmed and tidy today.. some of the other things that I got up to this weekend were:
* trimmed and tidied my veggie patch
* cooked up 3 kgs of home grown tomatoes into homemade tomato sauce (rosella type sauce)
* cooked up 3 kgs of home grown tomatoes and zucchinni into homemade pasta sauce puree
* pickled 2 jars of home grown red onions
* pickled 2 jars of homegrown onions and cucumbers into bread and butter cucumbers
Now we just have to wait to eat them for a couple of months....
BTW made some really yummy cherry jam over the holidays.... soooooo nice!

On the Scrapping Front:

I have finished off my swap for Let's Scrap and hope to get those in the mail this week... Currently hosting the swap for Keep 'n' The Memories.. have had so many goodies coming in the last few days that everyone will be happy with what they are receiving I am sure... Have refilled my General WIP folder and topped up my Fiskars WIP folder... Have set the boundry higher this year for what I want to get done in regards to layouts...aiming for at least 4 layout minimum a week...My life journal from KTM is going well.. heaps of fun to do and will be great to look back on... Am lucky enough this year to be a guest designer for KTM and for Let's Scrap.... can't wait to do the work for them....so exciting....
This year with Fiskars is going to be a big one... so many new and exciting thing happening... Love doing the demonstrations for them.. nice seeing all the eager faces... also great to see all you regulars that keep me laughing.....Keep your eyes peeled for more exciting news of the Easter crop that I am in the process of planning..

Okay better go or this post will send everyone to sleep... If you managed to get through all of this then you have done well.... I have dribbled on a fair bit today.. so much more to catch up on, but will do that again soon....

Card Making week end with MIL .. pleased to say that we made 60 cards. 10 designs and 6 of each design.. though each of the cardswere individually "jackiefied"...lol...lol.. Mil has learnt what "BLING" is all about...plus the best thing for me was the phone call later in the week to say that she was still smiling from the weekend of cardmaking and it had broken her down spell... what more can a person want than that as satisifaction for teaching someone something new.
