Hello all.
Back again this week to share with you a layout I have create for Mad About Scrappin once again.
This week however I set myself a little bit of a challenge with the Pink Paislee - Cottage Farms paper range that Leanne sent me. I decided that I would challenge myself to use just one sheet of the patterned paper and a piece of contrasting card stock. So I grabbed all the goodies below and set to work.
So here's the finished layout that I managed to create using what I had challenged myself to use.
Now... to begin with because I was only using one piece of patterned paper I decided to add a little to the card stock that I was using. So with a little help from some ink, a Kaisercraft stamp and some washi tape I was able to create a fun background that tied in nicely with the paper I had decided to use. Plus the fact that it was a quick way to add that little bit extra without a huge amount of effort.
Next while I was working with the patterned paper I decided to use both sides of the paper. Now some parts of the patterned paper didn't have any pattern on them. So to I decided to bring a little bit of pattern to the paper and used a few stamps with two different Stazon ink colours for a bit of contrast I then inked the edges of each piece the same as I had the card stock base. This effect helped the patterned paper to blend into the card stock nicely with just a little bit of aged pattern showing through.
Have you challenged yourself lately ??
Sometimes I find it fun to play around with old products in my stash and limit the products I use. I find I do actually use up what I have and keeps my scrapping interesting too.
Why not have a play and see what you come up with.
Till next week.
