Creative Inspiration - Week 39

Hello everyone.

I have been busy scrapping away with the music blaring the background again.

Slowing using up more of this fun kit Leanne sent from Mad About Scrappin.

This week I have created a layout with a very masculine feel.
This layout has ended up with a few layers of paper and paint to add a bit of depth to the page.
I really wanted to make a bit of mess with paint too and felt before I added the paint using a template that it really needed a bit to grunge it up. I loved the gold foil feathers that Leanne had sent me but was at a loss with where to use this till I create this layout. I love the look of it underneath the wood veneer title. I also used another digital stamp to print onto the plainer dot paper .

I have used the black gold foil paper for this layout too. It is quite bold but the gold foil circles really make the page really stand out. I kept my photo to black and white as I found that a colour photo just didn't look right for what I was trying to create. I have then layered a mix of washi tape, ticket stubs from my stash and stamps to create a bit of interest on this page.

I have then finished the layout off by creating some chevrons using the gold glitter photo corners Leanne has in store.

Why not get creative this weekend.

Till next week.

Creative Inspiration - Week 38

Hello all.

Back again this week with a quick share before I race off tomorrow to drop my eldest off to the airport for her trip to Japan.

Do you think they would notice if I snuck into her suitcase??!!???

Not sure who is more excited about her trip... lol

Anymore back to business.

I have created a card for my son's soccer coach as the season is over for another year using the gold foil paper from this kit.

So here's the card I have created.
I have chosen to use the more muted gold foil papers with some kraft card stock. I love the way this has a real natural feel. I added the hessian ribbon to create the bow on the tag as I felt it went with the natural feel I was trying to create.

After layering another favourite paper bag I have then added some washi tape to create a base for my embellishment cluster. I then added a small vinyl doing and a kraft tag I had in my stash. I then finished off the card with a matching date sticker from the kit and some gold glitter enamel dots.

Super quick card but quite effective.

Till next week.

Creative Inspiration - Week 37

Hello.. hello.. hello!!!!

I have been playing catch up here after being so busy creating and sorting out my eldest for her up and coming trip to Japan.

I have managed to squeeze in a full day of scrapping just to get on top of things.

Once again I have been using up more of this kit - Market Street. I must say.. the more I use it the more I love the colours and how versatile this kit really is.

So here's what I have created to share with you this week.
After having spent a few weeks creating cards so this week I loved being able to get messy
and create a layout. I have used vanilla card stock for the base of this layout as I found that white card stock was a little too stark for this layout. I have then stamped the base card stock in bold black to make the coloured paper pop off the page.

I still love the die cut frames that Leanne has in store. This time round I have coloured the frame black and cut it in half before adhering it to the page.
I have also used some of the patterned paper to create my own floral embellishments for this layout.
I then added some gold glitter enamel dots randomly to add a bit of bling and sparkle to the page.

To finish off the page I have created my title from a mixture of a wood veneer words and some alpha stickers which I have adhered to a few different size ticket stubs.

I had a fun taking time out to get creative this week.

Have you had a chance to get creative?

Till next week.

A Challenge with a Twist

Welcome to the weekend!!!!

I have big plans for this weekend.

Being that I am child free my plan is to play catch up with some scrap work that has fallen by the wayside due to madly scrapping away for the Royal Adelaide Show.

However before I get stuck into some scrap work I wanted to share with you what I have created this month for Mad About Scrappin's monthly challenge.

Now I still have plenty of this kit to play with that Leanne sent me from Mad About Scrappin

So with that in mind I wanted to create something a little different using the quote.
Yes.. I know I am always one to challenge myself  and I really put my thinking cap on for this one.

So here's the card I have created for this month's challenge.
I have gone with the more colourful parts of this paper range as my base for this card and teamed it with a kraft card base.

I have used two digital stamps to create the base for this card onto one of the plain papers in the kit. One of the digital stamps was the word together with a definition added. This was perfect as it was part of the inspirational quote. I then finished off the quote with a mix of alphas stickers and some chipboard alphas. I love the little wood veneer bicycle too I had in my kit from Leanne so I just had to add it to this card.

I then finished off the card with a wood veneer sun burst,
which I have blinged up with a gold enamel dot.

Why not give this months challenge a go.

Till next time.

Creative Inspiration - Week 36

Hello again.

Back this week to share with you what I have created using some more of this paper range
on behalf of Mad About Scrappin.

As this weekend it is Father's Day here I have made a quick and simple card for my Dad.
I am finally getting around to playing with the gold foil sides of this paper range.

I have started with a kraft card base as I wanted something plain due to using this gold foil dots on black. I really didn't want to cut it up it was so nice. I love how the gold foil peeks out from the background on this card. I found that the yellow arrow paper was just not quite right for what I was wanted to achieve so I have once again played around with a couple of digital stamps and printed directly onto the arrow paper.

Now.. I have had this little moustache paper bag in my stash for a few weeks now and when I saw it today I just knew it would be perfect to add that little extra to this card. I created a tag to adding into the paper bag to add a little colour to the card. I have then added a wood veneer paper clip to create a bit of interest on the card.

Once again I played around with a few different washi tapes to add that little extra. I have then finished off the layout using the matching moustache sticker mounted on 3D foam and some glitter photo corners I have made into chevrons. Super easy and adds that bit of extra sparkle to this card.

Have you made a card for someone special lately ?

Why not use up a few scraps laying around and get creative.

Till next week.
